The M type of therapy (music)
heyyy guyss!! This is the second part of 'the M type of therapy' and we shall be talking about music. I love the interaction going on and i really appreciate it <33. I hope it keeps going. Well, about music, It's just so therapeutic because it's like company, but also not. It might seem like music doesn't really affect anything but it literally changes everything. My taste in music changes with my mood. When i'm sad, I listen to Billie Eilish and feel worse. It makes me feel lonely but in a way, It's like the music we listen to is the company we seek. Like everyone else, I started off listening to Taylor Swift, One Direction, Justin Bieber, Alan walker (peak nostalgia) and oh KPOP. Every other girl has had a KPOP phase for sure. It's like a requirement to grow. I loved Blackpink. BTS didn't interest me much but i was obsessed with Blackpink. Life was better when i was obsessing over my Blackpink bias and my only fear was that Blackpink would disband. But i eventually grew out of it and discovered Olivia Rodrigo, and Sabrina Carpenter. Something about Olivia Rodrigo's songs is just so emotionally connecting. Everytime i sang her songs, I cried and grieved the ex i never even had. And i started finding new artists and enjoying different genres of music. I was initially a pop girlie but im definitely an indie now. Music, to me, is like one friend that's always with you and always feels the same way you feel. It's like that one friend that just gets you and you're both lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling and thinking and thinking. That's why i call it company. At the end of the day, it's the friend that never leaves and you can always go back to it and expect a warm welcoming hug. I love all kinds of music. I have a soft spot for indian music tho. It's just so cozy and homely. I started listening to Indian music (mostly hindi and telugu) recently and i love it so much. Soft, slow songs that feel like a tight hug are my go to. This song is my new favourite that i'm currently obsessed with. So, to sum up, music is therapeutic.
